About The Site

San Diego Mommy Spot is more than a blog, it’s an online community for San Diego County moms and mommy bloggers. Here you’ll find forums, blog posts, giveaways, an event calendar, a photo gallery, and you can even submit your own photos and events. SD Mommy Spot is a one-stop local resource and a place to meet up online with other moms in the area. The site is all about involvement, and you can read how to make the most of it here.

Who We Are

Michelle SybertMichell Sybert,
Managing Editor & Contributor

Michelle lives in Vista, CA with her husband and two preschool-aged children. She is originally from Orange County, but is pleased to have been a North County SD resident for almost 2 years! She is a 3-year uterine cancer survivor, thankful to be able to cherish every moment with her family.  She is also an avid crafter and part-time preschool teacher. She enjoys exploring all that the San Diego area has to offer with her family, and after nearly two years, has barely scratched the surface!

Michelle has a passion for early childhood education and parenting and seeks to encourage and inspire other moms as they encounter their everyday lives– sharing her (and others’) crafts, tips, ideas and contagious enthusiasm!

You can also find Michelle at her blog Her Cup Overfloweth where she hosts a weekly blog carnival, Muffin Tin Monday. Her crafts and ideas both for kids and adults alike have been featured on sites such as The Crafty Crow and One Pretty Thing.

Copy Editor & Contributor

Nicole grew up in North County San Diego, and after about a ten-year hiatus which included a few years on the Central Coast, in Orange County and a year in Colorado, she’s happy as a clam to be back in San Diego County to raise her family.

Nicole wears a lot hats, between blogging and diving into social media, and chasing her crazy toddler around, she’s got her hands full to say the least. Nicole has a love for language and writing, she studied Modern Languages and Literature at Cal Poly, SLO and has a Master’s in Spanish from Cal State Long Beach. Before temporarily retiring to be a stay-at-home mom, she was a college Spanish teacher. She loves to read, write, surf, camp, craft and watch baseball games with her husband.

You can also find Nicole, or Gidget as she’s known in the blogosphere, at her personal blogs, Gidget Goes Home and Round Ball, Round Bat, and at the social network she founded for moms who surf, Surf Mamas.

Hey Michelle,

Finally getting a chance to browse your blog and am in awe of the post on the essential oils. Just sent my daughter to bed tonight with cinnamon tea, which is one that was mentioned. Also I keep watching your video testimonial over and over again. You have encouraged me so much as a work-at-home-parent. I’ve been getting so much feedback begging me to remember dads too, so I’m readjusting.

Looking forward to more fun with Logitech!

Believe well!
